After choosing a theme of interest, learners begin with the easy to read information provided (2 pages per theme). This information is designed to provide enough for learners to gain knowledge, but to also encourage curiosity in learning further.

Prompt Questions (1 page per theme) then guide learners to go deep and explore the theme further through websites, books and other resources they find.

Once learners are happy with what they know and understand about a theme they choose from a range of response activities (6 per theme) to dive even deeper. These integrate curriculum areas and provide the opportunity for learners to do, create, and share.
The unit is not designed for learners to complete every single activity and instead can be returned to over consecutive years or sessions to focus on additional themes or activities. Learners at different ages will seek differing understanding of different themes, and at different depths which is why this resource is able to be used by a range of ages.  The level of adult support you give will depend on the age and ability of your learners.
